Save those Bones!

Falkrail has long been fans of the old British Rail Class 58 and now a unique opportunity has arrived for one to be bought for preservation. This is a very unique opportunity. The Class 58 Locomotive group is running a sponsorship campaign with the hope of saving one of these marvellous locomotives they need your help now! Visit their website for details of how you can help!

We Are Back!

We’ve received messages recently asking whether we still exist or not, well we do and we are here to stay.
We apologise for our lack of activity recently we’ve been struggling since Christmas with various difficulties and now are back on our feet we are ready to support you, your railways and your heritage.
We are still horribly short of volunteers and staff so if anyone has the urge to help out and work with one of the most exciting organisations in the world of railways and heritage.
We have finally reopened the Library and for this we need to thank Thomas Cheney for his superb work as he battled on alone to get this area of the site ready for its reopening which has coincided with the 1st birthday of our website, we hope that the Mainline Guidebook will shortly open and its editor assures us it will soon.

Aidan Spink drives across the level crossing at Grosmont on his return journey to Newcastle. The car ‘Huxley’ is a Liege hill racing car built by Mr. Spink. The Car had just narrowly lost to the train in FK2’s Race to the Moors event, the car actually beat the train to Grosmont but Aidan lost because he wasn’t able to find the finish line, not by much though.
