Why Falkrail

“It’s not the size of the project that matters but the size of the commitment”

Falkrail was started by a group of students studying in Cambridge during the latter part of 2008. Their idea was to create a group that could smooth out the problems in the railways and heritage of the United Kingdom.

Although the organisation has not been in existence very long, we have already proved that we bring a new approach and a positive outlook to an area that is danger of sticking in its own rut.

Our work is varied and imaginative, and has been described as a breath of fresh air. We have an open ended way of looking at things and if something needs to be done we hope to do it.

We are active and outgoing; we don’t just sit by and let jobs come to us. Falkrail members focus on developing new ways of doing things and coming up with new ideas to bring to life.

The life of a Falkrail member can be varied and exciting, working with some of the most imaginative people in the heritage world.

The Tasks of Falkrail:

1)       To encourage more young people into the heritage and railway worlds

3)       To organise a variety of heritage projects.

To sum it up Falkrail is all about helping people and helping heritage. To join us click here.
